These Two Men Want Female Olympians to Wear Makeup for a Horrifying Reason

As if body shaming wasn’t bad enough, two men took to FOX’s Sports Court to explain why all female Olympians should wear makeup. Because if there’s one thing these extremely skilled athletes care about most it’s how fierce their eyebrows look mid-routine.

In last week’s segment, host Tamara Holder starts a debate as to whether or not female Olympic athletes should wear makeup. To discuss, she invited Bo Dietl and Mark Simone onto the show — two men who should definitely have an opinion on how women decide to aesthetically present themselves. Prepare to be enraged.

“The whole point of the Olympics, the whole reason for this training, for this work to get there, is product endorsements,” Simone began. “Cosmetic companies are opening up a ton of revenue for product endorsements.”

Sure, the man has a point. A vast majority of athletes make their money from product endorsements, but I’m pretty sure female athletes can promote more than just cosmetic brands. Sadly, it got way worse.

“I think when you see an athlete, why should I have to look at some chick’s zits?” Dietl chimed in. “Why not a little brush on her lips and cover those zits! I like to see a person who wins that gold medal go up there and look beautiful.”

IS THIS GUY FOR F*CKING REAL RIGHT NOW?! He continued trying to prove his argument by objectifying Tamara Holder.

“Tamara, look how beautiful you are with that makeup,” he said. “What do you look like when you crawl out of bed in the morning? I’d rather have you now, the way you look. You look beautiful and I think it just enhances the beauty of that athlete.”

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, Holder noted that Anna Kournikova had more sponsorships than Serena Williams because she’s “blonde and white and tall and thin,” but instead of acknowledging the HUGE issue with that statement, she questions if this means wearing makeup while competing steers away from the athleticism and makes it more of a beauty pageant.

Naturally, the men have disturbing opinions on that one. “The better you look, the better your career as an athlete,” Simone said. Dietl confirmed the idiotic sentiment. “I really believe that we all have opinions, and when someone looks better, people support that more. Would you put money behind a gal that won the gold who looks like a washed-out rag? No.”

I’m screaming. What do you think? Sound off in the comments below.
