Blink-182 Net Worth 2018: How Much Is Blink-182 Worth Now?

Blink-182: that pop-punk band that somehow still exists.

Even if you’re not a pop-punk kid (a.k.a., you’re above the age of 15), you have a slight soft spot for Blink-182. They are the band that has always been there, perhaps not for you, but always there to make you laugh. I mean, can you think of another musical act that has somehow made nudity and general inappropriate behavior funny and cool? In short, there is no band quite like Blink-182.

Given that they’ve been around for so long, you might be thinking that the band has racked up a pretty penny with album and merchandise sales and various sponsorship deals. You would be absolutely correct.

As of 2018, Blink-182 is worth $148 million.

They would be worth a lot more if Tom DeLonge was still in the band, but I digress.

In 1992, Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Scott Raynor met for the first time at Rancho Bernardo High School. The three instantly clicked and began to play in DeLonge’s garage. It wouldn’t be until February 1995 that the band, then simply Blink, would release their first album, Cheshire Cat.

By March 1996, Blink-182, following a threat of a lawsuit by the Irish band, Blink, had changed their name. They also have begun to generate buzz amongst major record labels. They eventually signed to MCA.

After non-stop touring, the band recorded their second album, Dude Ranch, over period of a month in late 1996.

In 1998, Scott Raynor was fired from the band. Travis Barker, then touring with The Aquabats, joined the band full-time.

The band began to experience commercial success with their third album, Enema Of The State, which was released in June 1999. The album spawned three singles for the band, “What’s My Age Again?”, “All The Small Things” and “Adam’s Song.” To date, the album has sold over 15 million copies worldwide.

In 2001, the band recorded Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, which debuted at number one in the United States, Canada and Germany. The record spawned the singles, “The Rock Show,” “Stay Together For The Kids” and “First Date.”

In 2003, Blink-182 began recorded its fifth studio album. It was released eponymously in the fall by Geffen Records. The lead singles from the record, “Feeling This” and “I Miss You” charted well. “I Miss You” became the group’s second number one hit on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.

In 2005, Blink-182 announced that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus. DeLonge, Hoppus and Barker did not speak to each other until 2008.

At the 2009 Grammy Awards, the band appeared for the first time together on stage in five years. They embarked on a North American reunion tour in 2009 and later a European festival tour in 2010.

Blink-182 began recording their sixth studio album, Neighborhoods, but were stalled by managers, studio autonomy and various personal projects. The album was eventually released in September 2011 and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Interscope, the label that released the album, was reportedly disappointed with album sales.

In 2015, the band planned to go into the studio and record its seventh studio album in January 2015 for later release that year. However, DeLonge was preoccupied with his band, Angels & Airwaves, and various other projects.

In response to the delays, Hoppus and Barker began playing with Alkaline Trio vocalist and guitarist, Matt Skiba, who filled in for DeLonge. After numerous legal battles between Hoppus, Barker and DeLonge, DeLonge left the band officially again. Skiba joined the band as a full-time member.

Following DeLonge’s departure, the band recorded California, which was released in July 2016.  It became the band’s second number one album on the Billboard 200 – and the first in 15 years. Its lead single, “Bored To Death,” was the group’s first number one single in 12 years.

The band went on a headlining tour with A Day To Remember, the All-American Rejects and All Time Low.

After a very successful tour in 2016, Blink-182 reveal their plans for 2017 tour with The Naked and Famous and Wavves. They’ll mainly be in America’s southern states. They’ll rock out on March 22nd in Austin, Texas and then wrap things up on May 9th in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“We’re all very excited to continue touring,” says Blink-182. “After spending all summer out on the road, we came home to finish the deluxe edition of California, and now we’re ready to get back out there. Some festivals, a rodeo, playing cities, we’ve never played before, it’s going to be a fun 2017!”

Blink-182 will headline ABC/Paula LoboThe 2018 edition of Travis Barker’s annual Musink music and tattoo festival.
