The 2016 Rio Olympics may have come to a close this weekend, but the drama continues. And surprisingly, this time Ryan Lochte has nothing to do with it.
Usain Bolt, an Olympic legend from Jamaica, celebrated his 30th birthday Sunday with Rio student Jady Duarte, 20, despite having a longterm girlfriend. Durante idiotically posted photographic proof of their hangout on WhatsApp, and the photos have since gone viral online.
Considering one photo features Bolt giving Durante a kiss while shirtless, this will be a hard one to explain to his girlfriend back home. Did we mention it was also taken at 7am?
Yeah, it’s not looking great.
Yikes. Duarte is less than thrilled about the situation.
“It’s very negative. I never wanted to be famous, I’m dying of shame,” she told Extra, a local newspaper. “It was not a big deal. It was normal. I’d rather not talk about it – in order not to complicate matters. Like I said, it was normal.”
She also claimed to have no idea who Bolt was. “He sent a security guard to call me over. We spoke quickly. But at that moment I didn’t know it was him, because there were many Jamaicans who looked similar.”
According to the Daily Mail, the university student wasn’t the only woman Bolt had his eye on. A video posted to Twitter showed him twerking with another local girl during his night out in All In.

Bolt has yet to publicly comment on the incident, but his last tweet reads “We came, we saw, we conquered. Rio, I have endless love for you” in Portuguese.
According to Bolt’s sister Christine Bolt-Hylton, Bolt and his girlfriend Kasi Bennett were likely to get engaged soon. But in a cryptic tweet posted Sunday, Bolt-Hylton wrote “I wish there was no discovery, but thank you so much. That’s really sweet of you,” in response to a commenter calling Bennett attractive. So much for wedding bells.
Lesson learned: what happens in Rio, doesn’t stay in Rio — it shows up on WhatsApp and websites worldwide.
