‘Empire’ 2016: Date, Time & TV Channel For Season 3 Premiere

Watch out, Cookie is back. Fox’s hit musical drama, Empire, is premiering for its third season and this one promises to be more dramatic than ever. Everyone’s fave actress, Taraji P. Henson, will be hopefully dragging everyone in her latest turn as the amazing, breakout star, Cookie Lyon, and there will surely be plenty of craziness with catfights, plot twists, major laughs and unexpectedly touching moments. Make sure you practice your scales because the soundtrack will also most likely have viewers singing along.

Lucious Lyon is reclaiming his throne at Empire Records, but will everything work out as he hopes? Probably not. Not only will Lucious most likely encounter some struggles, but the cast will also sing and talk about some pretty tough topics, including police brutality. “Need Freedom” is a recently released song from the upcoming season that movingly discusses the current state of the nation. As if these things weren’t enough, it will also be revealed who exactly fell off of the balcony, Anika or Rhonda? Another question: Is Cookie moving on from Lucious? Also, what is Mariah Carey going to do on the show? All of these questions will be answered Wednesday, September 21 at 9:00 P.M. EST on Fox.
