When Rachel Gelmis took a drug test at school four years ago and tested positive for traces of THS, cocaine, heroin, meth, benzos and barbiturates in her system, her mom flipped. Luckily the school was wrong (as Gelmis obviously already knew), but her mom didn’t question WTF the school was saying. Granted, we see her point, but it makes the story all the more hilarious.
“Last week, I was drug tested at Pinnacle,” Gelmis wrote in a Facebook post in 2012. “This was the first time I had ever been drug tested, and I knew I was clean, of course. However, when the results came back, I was told that I had traces of THC, cocaine, heroin, meth, benzos and barbiturates in my system. I knew that this was true. My mother, on the other hand, believed it.”
She continued, “A few hours later, the school contacted my mom and told her that they had completely misread the test, and I was negative for all of those substances (no sh*t).”
But considering her mom already berated her for her alleged drug use, the damage was done. To make up for it, Gerlmis’ mom came up with the best, most delicious idea ever: to make a drug apology cake.
“So, as an apology, I had my dear, wonderful mother make me a cake,” she said in the post. “You are forgiven. The end.”

When the Facebook memory popped up on her timeline, Gelmis shared the story on Twitter with the attached caption, “That time my mom genuinely believed I was doing every drug at once bc my school misread my drug test.”

Unfortunately the school wasn’t as accommodating. “I still to this day haven’t gotten any kind of apology from the school,” she tweeted. “The administrators left me completely alone after that.”
Wow. The least they could do was bake her cupcakes to go with that cake. GET ON IT, PINNACLE!
