If there’s one thing that can really affect your mood, it’s social media. You know the feeling when you’ve had a long day, only to log onto Facebook and get overwhelmed by what you see. Everything is bad all at the same time. Whether it’s an article about the upcoming election, personal statuses that you don’t agree with or news reports about world tragedies, it’s easy to get into a bad mood from the online negativity.

If you haven’t heard of Rupi Kaur yet, you’ll know her soon. A modern poet and artist, she uses her experiences as a woman of color to evoke gorgeous art, as demonstrated in her book Milk and Honey. Seriously, she gets us in, like, four words. Her Instagram features both her poetry and her photography, which can be very soothing if you’ve had a bad day.

Hellooooo childhood. Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang has their own Instagram account, and it’s the perfect combination of funny and sweet. Usually the pictures feature one scene or thought bubble, but sometimes they post four-panel comics as well. @snoopygrams also includes cute little messages that are perfect to tag your friends and family in the comments.

Animal accounts are the best. Foodie accounts are the best. One woman combined them both with the CUTEST DOG I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. Popeye was rescued by his owner a few years ago. She has since discovered that he has better control around food than most humans do, so she began the most adorable foodie account in existence. I’m not even exaggerating a bit when I say I could go through this account for hours.
