Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks quarterback, announced via Twitter and Instagram earlier this week that they’re expecting their first child together.
Wilson and Ciara were married on July 6 in Liverpool, England. They were famously abstinent leading up to their wedding because of their strong religious beliefs. When it came to waiting to have sex, he talks about how he’d asked Ciara, “‘Could we love each other without that?’ If you can really love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody,” Wilson said.
And now, the newlyweds have a baby on the way! The announcement came on Ciara’s 31st birthday, and she revealed the news via social media.
Ciara wrote on Instagram: “On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I’m excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give…”
Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, who was born May 19, 2014, with the rapper, Future, and he’s reportedly very excited about becoming a big brother. Congrats to this beautiful family!
