Miranda Rader, a 20-year-old engineering student at Texas A&M hit a police car last night–she was distracted from trying to send her boyfriend a topless pic via Snapchat.
The police officer in the hit car had been responding to a nearby disturbance call, when he heard “a vehicle braking hard,” and saw Rader’s SUV crash into his parked vehicle. The cop, John Sartell, found the girl in the car with the airbags deployed, and not wearing a shirt.
“I asked her why she was not dressed while driving and she stated that she was taking a Snapchat photo to send to her boyfriend while she was at the red light,” Sartell said in the affidavit. She was wearing a bra though, and had been trying to get dressed when she saw the police officer walking towards her car.
To make matters even more irresponsible, there was an open bottle of wine in the car, and Rader admitted that she drank some before getting behind the wheel. She was charged with a DWI as well as for possession of alcohol as a minor.
Clearly, someone hit Wine Wednesday a little too hard–and did your boyfriend really need a topless pic that badly? Maybe we should start using Snapchat exclusively for Kylie Jenner Lip Kit reveals and celebrity engagements.
