Typically American Horror Story and romance don’t go hand-in-hand, but Michael Scola and Jordan Rodarte turned their Halloweekend wedding into a glamorously spooky affair.
From the setting to the invitations to the ring bearer, everything at the wedding was inspired by Ryan Murphy’s hit show.
Jordan told the Huffington Post, “We’ve been fans of the show since the beginning and always have super themed premiere parties for every season at our vintage West Hollywood apartment.”
For starters, Michael and Jordan said their “I dos” at the real-life Hotel Cortez, the Oviatt Penthouse in Downtown LA. The creepy hotel was the exterior shots of the fifth season were filmed. Continuing with the theme, invitations had the same font from the show’s opening credits and guests found their names on hotel tags attached to skeleton keys.
The photo booth featured masks of favorite characters from the series, including The Countess, Pepper and Twisty the Clown.
Guests were encouraged to play dress-up in 1920s-style clothing, and one even went all out by dressing as Denis O’Hare’s Liz Taylor character. There was also one special attendee: Naomi Grossman, who played the role of lovable Pepper in season 2 and 4! The couple reached out to her on social media, and she agreed to be their ring bearer.
These guys win weddings. But hopefully their marriage isn’t inspiration for a new season of AHS.
