This Man Live Tweeted His Dog’s Sad Halloween & We’re Literally Crying

If there’s one thing I’m never going to pass up in life, it’s petting a stranger’s dog.ย Doesn’t matter if they’re big, small, black, tie-dyed, puffy, hairless — I WILL be petting them. Which is why I take personal offense to this awful Halloween tale.

William Barriteau, a Massachusetts pit bull owner, handed out candy to trick-or-treaters with his loyal companion Dublin beside him. Donning devil ears, Dublin was looking good, but sadly, no kids wanted to pet him.

“My dogs [sic] been greeting trick or treaters all night and they are scared to pet him and he’s so sad,” William wrote with the saddest picture ever attached. Check it out:

AWW! SOMEONE PET HIM, PLEASE! Like most people with a soul, Twitter could not handle how sad this was.

But seriously, we feel those tears. Sadly there were a lot more where those came from, since William kept the sad tweets coming all night.

SOMEONE JUST PET DUBLIN PLEASE!!!! Luckilyย Barriteau’s aunt took matters into her own hands and made the the trick-or-treaters pet the dog in order to get some candy. At the end of the day, Dublin did get some love.

So, just to clarify, not only were these kids getting free candy but they were also petting a dog. SOUNDS LIKE THE BEST HALLOWEEN EVER! Damn, kids are really ungrateful these days.
