In case you were still too distracted by the election, today is Veterans Day. It’s a time to thank those who have served and risked their lives to protect our country and all of the people living within its borders. Regardless of everything, we should be proud of this and thankful that someone was willing to fight to keep our rights. We salute you and admire your bravery.
Being that Veterans Day is a federal holiday, things might go a bit differently today, especially if you’re waiting on a Sephora package or check from your parents. Which brings us to our next question…
Does The United States Deliver Mail On Veterans Day?
We’ll be straight with you: No, your mail will not be delivered to you today. You’re going to have to wait another day to get that lip tint you’ve been waiting on.
All post offices and federal offices will be closed for the holiday, meaning that no business or households will receive their mail, including USPS packages. Although it is a federal holiday and all federal offices are closed, all federal workers will still be paid today.
FedEx and UPS will still be open during Veterans Day and will provide their regular pickup and delivery services.
Some additional holidays on which mail is not delivered include:
- New Year’s Day
- Labor Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- President’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Columbus Day
- Memorial Day
Happy Veterans Day!
