John Olmstead might be single for the holidays, but he’s still determined to send out a sweet holiday card that’s just as cheesy as the rest.
“I’ve been single for so long, so I think it’s hilarious to make myself look even more single,” Olmstead, a 22-year-old dude from Mattoon, Illinois, told Buzzfeed. And how did he do that? By making a trick holiday card and posting it on Twitter with the caption “The holidays are better with you.”
Cute, right? Sounds like something you’d hear in a Hallmark commercial. Except when you realize that the below tease…
Is actually this:

Olmstead said he made the shot into a near replica of what he’s seen in the past online, with a few tweaks. “Usually the guy would be wearing the guy pants and shoes, but my arms are too skinny to look like legs in tights so I said, ‘Screw it,’ and jammed my feet into those boots,” he said.
The post has already been retweeted more than 50,000 times and has more than 100,000 likes. Reactions varied from feeling for his singledom…

to relating to his singledom…

We personally love it and think it’s hilarious. Also this guy is super cute and will probably be off the market sooner rather than later. He’ll be making his very own cheesy holiday card with a real person before he knows it.
