Jessica Rodriguez popped the question to her girlfriend of four years, Chelsea Miller, at the Art Institute of Chicago on Saturday and it was nothing short of a perfect moment. Standing in the middle of a gorgeous art museum, Rodriguez set the mood, while two of their friends stood on the balcony holding a sign that read, “Chelsea Miller, Will You Marry Me?” Needless to say, it was beautiful. But the best part was the reaction of a touched onlooker unknowingly captured by the photographer snapping photos of the couple’s big moment.

“I was crying and shaking and a ball of nerves,” Miller, 26, told Us Weekly in a recent interview. “But later that night when we were looking at the pictures, I was, like, ‘Oh, my gosh. That woman is so adorable.’”
Clearly the world agreed. When Rodriguez’s brother, Carlos, posted the image to his Twitter page, it got more than 107,000 retweets and 335,00 likes. “My sister proposed to her GF today and look at that older woman’s reaction,” he wrote.

Since the post went viral, the couple — along with the unknown woman — have received a ton of love from strangers on the internet.
“There are so many people online who are ready to throw hate at everybody, and it’s so beautiful to see so much support for the LGBT community,” Miller, a full-time student, told Us. “Everybody’s hearts were warmed because she looks so purely and genuinely happy for us. So many people are saying this gives them hope and faith in humanity.”
Miller and Rodriguez are planning for a June 2018 ceremony in Texas. Congrats you two!
