Dating Fails Ghosted

Can I just say, online dating can be really terrible. You never know what you’re gonna get, and more times than not, an a**hole is usually staring back at you when sitting down for dinner on your first date. If there’s anyone who knows about this, it’s Angelina, who conveniently had her name changed for this story because it truly is horrifying.

Elite Daily‘s latest story for their column “Boom Ghosted” features a girl explaining how she was ghosted after a first date, then fat-shamed on her date’s Bumble profile.

WTF
“So I got ghosted by a guy after a first date. I normally wouldn’t think anything of it – that kind of stuff happens all the time,” she starts. “However, there’s a crazy coincidence that happened after he ghosted me that prompted me to submit this.”

“So I matched with this guy from my hometown on Bumble when I was home for Thanksgiving,” she continues. “I live near an Air Force base, and he was there for pilot training. So we exchanged a few messages. He ended up asking me if I wanted to do anything the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but I had already left to go back to work. I gave him my number, and we exchanged a few messages.”

When she got back home, the girl asked if he wanted to meet up for dinner and he said yes. From there, things went downhill. Like, way downhill.

Bumble Fail Texts
When she checked back in to hang out, he totally ghosted her.

What came next was truly terrible.

“What I thought was interesting was that I found a new Bumble profile he made,” she says. “He added in at the bottom, ‘Pleeeeease don’t be fat in real life.'”

Bumble Profile Fail“I know it could have been about someone else, like from his hometown, but the coincidence is a little sketchy to me,” she adds. “So now, I want to publicly roast him for being a misogynistic pig.”

Yes
Wow, what a f*cking dick. Is this guy for real?! Ghosting is bad enough, but asking someone to “not be fat in real life” while simultaneously fat-shaming your previous date is 100% f*cked up. Good luck with your dating life, dude. Something tells me you’re going to be single for a looonnnnggggg time.
