Any fan of Are You the One? knows that Stephen and Julia’s relationship has had its ups and downs. The season 4 castmates found out they weren’t each other’s perfect matches, but decided to give their romance a whirl in the real world (MTV reality show pun intended).
Then Julia appeared on The Aftermatch, a recap show, with season 5 cast member Hannah in January. Julia revealed that her relationship with Stephen was over and called out Hannah for inviting him to Las Vegas with fellow season 5 contestant Taylor.

Essentially, Julia made it sound like the Vegas getaway had to do with the reason she and Stephen called it quits.
However, Stephen says that’s not the case.
According to the Philly native, the two were dating and living together in San Francisco. However, she moved out and they agreed to be pals.
“I sort of knew that she was talking to other people, but it didn’t bother me because, you know, that’s exactly what we signed up for,” he tells us on the Candy Dish podcast. “We knew this was going to happen.”
Stephen met Hannah because she was also from the Bay Area, so it sounded like a great idea like she and Taylor invited him to join them in Las Vegas.
“That night I texted Julia a couple times, and she didn’t answer,” he says. “If she’s out there doing her thing, which I’m completely fine with because I’m not in a relationship with this girl, I’m not her boyfriend, I’m gonna go to Vegas.”
He continued, “When Julia blew that up, I thought it was a bit uncalled for.”
Still, there’s a lot of love for Julia. Stephen says he still has feelings for her and calls her a “great girl.”
