With each change of the season, I feel it necessary to listen to more than the few songs I keep on a constant rotation. As the sun is steadily shining more each day, I’m more inclined to mix in some more upbeat music.
This spring is already beyond warm, so take any spare moment you have to head outdoors with a glass of lemonade, a good read and your Bluetooth speaker.
Don’t worry about what playlist to use, I’ve got this one for you. Here’s what to listen to this spring.
1. “Barcelona” by Ed Sheeran
Fair warning: this song will be stuck in your head for days. There’s something incredibly fun about it that just makes you want to dance.
2. “All Night” by Chance the Rapper
As one of Chance’s more upbeat songs, “All Night” will have you tapping your foot and ready for a night out with your friends.
3. “Another Day of Sun” from the La La Land Soundtrack
It’s easy to see why this belongs on a spring playlist. It embodies the feel-good song. Not to mention it includes the word “sun.”
4. “HUMBLE.” by Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick’s back and this song is definitely one that you’ll listen to on a loop. And no, it’s not just about stretch marks.
5.) “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars on any playlist is enough said.
6. “Body Like a Back Road” by Sam Hunt
With any warm season, a little bit of country is necessary. Sam Hunt’s style is just right for a picnic or a day on the water.
7. “How Do You Sleep?” by Jesse McCartney ft. Ludacris
Am I the only person that still likes J-Mac? I won’t apologize for it, this song will forever be a jam.
8. “Chocolate” by The 1975
There’s just something infectious about the beat in “Chocolate” that I never get sick of.
9. “Kiss Me Kiss Me” by 5 Seconds of Summer
This is exactly the kind of song to listen to with your friends while driving around with the windows down. Give it a try.
10. “Highlights” by Kanye West
Possibly one of the catchiest songs that I’ve heard, you’re most likely going to be singing this for weeks to come.
11. “No Promises” by Cheat Codes ft. Demi Lovato
The beat drop is really good and it sounds like the kind of song that you always associate with your summer.
12. “One More Weekend” by Audien x MAX
I’ve never heard of either of these artists until recently, but I’m a little in love with this song. If you’re looking to hype yourself up, look no further.
13. “Bad Behavior” by The Maine
The Maine is one of my middle school loves and they’ve continued to put out great music. Great sound for an ~artsy~ video montage on Instagram.
14. “(You Drive Me) Crazy” by Britney Spears
Britney is iconic.
15.) “We Can’t Move to This” by Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding has a lot of dance-around-your-room songs and this one can be added to that list.
Happy listening! I hope you find a couple of new poolside favorites.
