Kanye West Dating History

The kween of social media, Kim Kardashian, put her husband Kanye West on blast recently, saying he isn’t a good Instagram husband. At the Forbes Women’s Summit in New York City, the reality-star-turned-beauty-mogul talked about the pressure of keeping up with social media and maintaining her Instagram aesthetic. According to Refinery29, Kim said, “I like my Instagram to look a certain way. There’s so much pressure to post, too. If I go to Japan and I just want to have a media-free vacation, and have a great birthday trip.”

Kim then specifically talked about a trip to Japan with Kanye. She had a perfect Instagram photo in mind and Kanye couldn’t get the right shot. She wanted a great shot with bright lights and Kanye just couldn’t deliver. “We tried to do it, and it was such a mess, and he just was not the best photographer. I was like, ‘You ruined what my social media was going to look like.’ So we scrapped that shoot.”

Being an Instagram husband isn’t easy, but it is a skill that can be taught. So Kanye and other hubbies, listen up. These are the essentials for becoming a great Insta husband.

1. Know her angles better than you know yourself.

Angles are the key to a great picture. Knowing someone’s angles means that their face and body are going to look 100% no matter the location or circumstances. It’s crucial for a good picture. When it doubt, always go for an up angle slightly to the left or right. Always take multiple pictures with multiple angles so she can scroll through and pick her favorite. Ladies like options.

2. Perfect lighting = perfect picture

Basic photography 101 is all about good lighting. A bomb picture isn’t going to look bomb if the lighting is wrong. Natural lighting is the easiest, so suggest the pic be snapped outside. Then have her face the sun, because if the sun is behind her she will be backlit and the picture will be dark. If all else fails, go find a shady spot or use the flash. The flash can make or break a photo and is usually forgotten. No amount of editing will fix a photo without flash.

3. Talk her through it.

If you’re really not living up to your Instagram hubby duties, just ask your girl what she’s envisioning or take a few sample shots and then show her and ask her what she likes and doesn’t like. She may be trying to show off her makeup or a new pair of shoes and knowing that will help you get that perfect shot. Yeah, you’ll have to move around for a new angle, maybe go to a new location and there may possibly be an outfit change but it’ll be worth it when your girl posts that perfect pic and gives you photo credit.

Can’t wait to see Instagram covered with perfect photos with the caption “I have the best Instagram husband.” You’re welcome, Kanye.
