Bryan From ‘The Bachelorette’ Was On Another Reality Show Back In 2004

The early to mid-2000s were filled with a lot of obscure and bizarre reality shows, each attempting to be a little more shocking than the next. Some were successful (The Bachelor and The Bachelorette) and others were iconic (Next, Room Raiders and The Swan), but most were just cancelled and forgotten.

The Player is one of the latter types of shows, but if the title doesn’t ring a bell, one of the faces from the show’s trailer may look familiar for viewers of The Bachelorette.

Just in case you didn’t catch it and/or couldn’t watch that whole hot mess of an intro, here’s the face we’re talking about.

Yep, that’s Bryan.

Bryan is one of the men vying for Rachel Lindsay’s heart. He’s a seductive chiropractor who’s been killing it in the competition, but he wasn’t always playing the game quite so well.

The Player was a RIDICULOUS show about a bunch of douchey guys from Miami competing to see who could pick up the most girls in clubs. As we’ve seen, Bryan is a smooth talker with a talent for saying all the right things, so it’s not a surprise that this might be right up his alley.

That said, things have changed. There’s no earring and no strange middle part and Bryan actually does seem like he could win Rachel’s heart.

Bryan’s not the first Bachelorette contender to have reality TV dreams.

This season’s breakout star, Peter Kraus, wrote in his high school yearbook that he wanted to be on The Bachelorette, while alum Chad Johnson actually appeared on MTV’s classic Next.

Brooklyn-based writer and editor who is probably eating Mexican food and yelling something about feminism, the Kardashians and/or finding the perfect highlighter.
