National Ice Cream Day falls on Sunday, July 16 this year. AKA, you just got a perfect excuse to spend the end of your weekend gorging on your favorite dessert.

Whole Foods
The store will have a one-day sale on Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, frozen yogurt and non-dairy frozen treat pints. Customers can choose two Ben & Jerry’s pints for $6.
Select stores will also host “Sundae Fundae” sampling events.
McDonald’s
Mickey D’s will give away free vanilla cones between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday. Just download the McDonald’s app.
In addition, the fast food chain is giving customers the opportunity to win free soft serve for life. A “Golden Arches Cone,” a limited-edition cone, will be handed out to a random customer, giving them free McDonald’s soft serve for life.
Cold Stone Creamery
The ice cream chain will have a “buy one, get one free” offer on its Confetti Cupcake Ice Cream, a limited-time summer flavor. It also will have a “buy one, get one free” offer on its “Party Like a Cupcake Creation.”
Dippin’ Dots
Participating locations will offer free mini cups over a two-hour window, which will vary by location.
Wendy’s
The restaurant will offer small Frostys for 50 cents through Aug. 25.

Carvel
Carvel is offering a buy one, get one deal on any size soft serve in a cone or cup.
Cumberland Farms
The convenience store chain is introducing two new flavors — Chocolate Peppermint Palooza and Awesome Chocolate Amaretto Almond — to its Ultimate Scoops ice cream collection, and you can get your hands on them for the discounted price of $3 a pint.
