Last night, America’s hearts collectively broke as Rachel sent Dean home after his hometown date AND after telling him that she was falling in love with him.
We knew Dean’s hometown date was going to be hard and it was. It was the first time that Dean had spoken to his father in two years and the first time his siblings and his whole family were under the same roof in eight years.
He was so nervous about it and you could tell he was scared throughout the whole episode about what Rachel was going to think. I mean you can bet I would be stressed out tif I was introducing my significant other to my estranged father.
At the end of the date, after a yelling match with his father, Rachel and Dean laid in part of his house and he told her that he was falling in love with her. “I am falling in love with you too” she responded.
At the rose ceremony, he was the one who didn’t get a rose.
While I am sure that Dean is experiencing all types of heartache, just because Rachel rejected him, doesn’t mean Bachelor Nation did. In fact, it was the exact opposite.
He received support from former cast members:
Don't worry Dean, vulnerability on national television leads to great things. Trust me 😉 #TheBachelorette

I may or may not have just thrown my wine at the TV after that one. #TheBachelorette

Fans on the other hand, have been taking to twitter to support Dean with #DeanForBachelor.

While I would not mind in the slightest having Dean star on my TV screen for twelve more weeks of my life, it seems unlikely considering the fact that he was been spotted in Mexico filming Bachelor in Paradise and unless Bachelor producers are going to make Dean the new Nick, it seems unlikely that he would be doing both back to back.
If he isn’t the next Bachelor, it might mean that Dean is still single so all of us single ladies over here can rejoice in knowing that there is a tiny bit higher percentage of a chance that one day we could be Mrs. Unglert.
