This Tweet Proves That Peter Is Not The Next Bachelor

Well, just as we were all recovering over that ridiculous Bachelorette finale, life sucks again.

A tweet from Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss all but confirmed that Peter will not be the next Bachelor.

In case you have been avoiding all things Bachelorette for the last month, let me provide you with a helpful recap as to why this tweet is as heartbreaking as it is.

Rachel Lindsay, this year’s Bachelorette, had an amazing top four but ultimately, the heartbreak came when it was just down to the top two. Both Peter and Bryan were frontrunners for the entire season but Peter was without a doubt the fan favorite. With his sleazy charm and alleged cheek implants people liked Bryan less and less as the season went on.

Peter was very vocal from the beginning of the show about his fear of not being ready to propose to someone after just two months, but as the weeks went on he did fall in love with Rachel. Rachel and Peter’s last scene together was Rachel basically begging Peter to propose but then not accepting Peter saying that he would do it so that he didn’t lose her — but she wanted him to want to propose.

Basically, Rachel cried off her fake eyelashes but then went and got engaged to Bryan in the end. The week that followed was basically Rachel bashing Peter to the press and pretending that she was always going to break up with Peter the night before. We might commit to watching two hours of reality TV every week but we aren’t stupid, Rachel!

Even though Rachel repeatedly said throughout all of her press junkets that Peter wouldn’t make a good Bachelor, Bachelor Nation held out hope that he would take the lead anyway.

Now, after Mike Fleiss’ tweet, it seems like that will not be the case and fans are pointing out to Fleiss that not wanting to propose after a month just makes Peter a normal human person, not bad #thebachelor material.

Bye Rachel, bye Mike! Not here for this negativity!

I am going to go back to daydreaming about riding a horse into the sunset with Peter.
