Burning Man 2017 just wrapped up another gathering in the temporary town of Black Rock City, and from the looks of it, the fest was another dusty one.
For those who are unfamiliar, Burning Man is an annual gathering of 70,000 brave souls in the desert of Nevada. There are giant art installations, workshops, food, drinks, and celebrations — and then it all disappears until the following year.
I’ve done camping. I’ve done music festivals. But this is nothing like those experiences.
It’s in a desert, for starters, so you can imagine how dusty things get. You also get around by biking miles each day, where its hot as hell during the day then temperatures drop like crazy at night.
It’s not for me, if you can’t tell. But it is for a lot of people.
Check out some of the craziest photos from 2017’s Burning Man celebration, and be grateful a shower isn’t far away.
