Observed annually on the second Friday in September, Stand Up To Cancer Day gives tribute to those affected by this horrific disease.
An annual fundraising event takes place on this day along with an annual television event around this time every year. Approximately one in two men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, but those alarming statistics don’t include the caretakers and families of those fighting the disease who are also affected by cancer. Stand Up To Cancer Donations go towards the research necessary to find a cure. You can donate on their website.
Let’s honor these badass warriors with some quotes about fighting, winning and surviving.
