These Are The Funniest Reactions To The 2017 Emmy Awards

|

With Stephen Colbert as host, there was no doubt that the 2017 Emmy Awards were going to be full of comedy, controversy and political tension.

Sean Spicer even made an appearance, wheeling his podium onto the stage and shocking the audience as he declared this year’s show to have the “biggest attendance,” parodying Spicer’s “alternative facts” regarding President Trump.

Colbert cracked a few jokes of his own, implying that the winners won because Game of Thrones wasn’t eligible to be nominated this year, drinking to his loss with Jimmy Kimmel while throwing shade at John Oliver and joking about his contractual obligations with CBS. So this year’s television awards show was nothing short of hilarious, but it was also heartwarming. Best supporting actress Ann Dowd gave a moving acceptance speech along with other stars such like Nicole Kidman and Elizabeth Moss.

The BeyHive always has something to say, and with all the political controversy and humor, the commentary was entertaining, to say the least. Here are a few Twitter highlights from last night’s awards.

My dad at my age: married with 2 kids; slowly saving for my college.

Me: unfriending people on FB who say Nicole didn't deserve her Emmy.
