Netflix just released some pretty life-changing data about their shows’ ratings.
The popular streaming service recently revealed that over 8 million of their subscribers have watched at least one season of a Netflix original series in less than 24 hours after its release. The streaming service says that the prize for the most popular 24-hour binge goes to the Gilmore Girls revival. They also noted that Canadians beat Americans for most subscribers binge-watching in less than 24 hours. Number three on that list is Denmark, followed by Finland and then Norway, which all seem a little random if you ask me.
Netflix’s VP of its original series, Brian Wright, said, “There’s a unique satisfaction that comes from being the first to finish a story — whether it’s the final page of a book or the last climactic moments of your favorite TV show. Netflix allows you to watch in a way you never could before, and there’s nothing better than seeing a show engage our members and ignite a passion for viewing.”
