We pick up right where we left off on the previous episode… Olivia standing and yelling while her father is sitting on a stool. Look who has the power now. The roles have switched. And to be honest, I am more scared of Olivia than Rowan.
It’s everyone against Olivia. Even Fitz does not want to put up with the way she has been acting. Fitz is not ready for Olivia to burn her White Hat and neither am I. All Olivia wants is for Fitz to go back to Vermont, without her. When Fitz turns his back on Olivia to have a conversation with Mellie. Olivia, obviously, does the same. Since Fitz wasn’t listening to her, she thought he might listen to Mellie. Mellie tells Fitz to go home, too. Why does nobody want Fitz in Washington? Poor guy.
Olivia is meant to have this much power, but that doesn’t mean that she should. This is going to make her turn into a monster if she doesn’t get what she wants. Cyrus says that if there is a tie on voting to go to war, he will no be the tie-breaker. Olivia’s first question is asking him what he wants. She is a master manipulator.
But, the biggest scene in this episode was not Mellie and the Bashrani sharing a kiss, it was the explosion! Yes. There was an explosion. As Yasmin and Rashad were climbing into the plane to head back to their country. BOOM. And now I think the only question is… are they dead or alive? Personally, I don’t know how anyone can live through an explosion like that. Miracles happen, though. Sometimes.
Nothing is handled in Washington. Not yet.
