The 2018 SAG Awards Will Feature A Lineup Of Female Presenters

|

The 24th annual Screen Actor Guild Awards is doing something a little different this year.

It’s the first time in SAG history that the awards show will only have female presenters. SAG Awards executive producer Kathy Connell said,

“I feel pretty strongly about the women’s movement. Women stepped forward in such a huge way in this last year. I want to salute women who are coming forward to speak at a very difficult time about very difficult subjects at great risk to themselves.”

Kristen Bell will be the first-ever host of the ceremony this year. The actress said, “The fact that a female was chosen to be the first one means my genitals become irrelevant.” Bell also admitted to being really nervous and soliciting help from her husband, Dax Shepard.

Olivia Munn and Niecy Nash announced the nominees this morning from the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California.
