Netflix is the master streaming service and original creator. It has the most Golden Globe nominations than any other streaming service (they have nine nominations) and the most 2017 Emmy wins (if you include Creative Arts Emmy wins), so it’s safe to say they know good TV.

American Vandal tops this year’s most binge-worthy TV shows and it’s a Netflix Original. The show is a mock documentary trying to discover who actually spray painted penises on faculty cars in the high school parking lot. One kid, Dylan is being accused of the crimes, but he says he’s framed. The crime satire is hilarious and clearly, a must watch.

This is a Netflix Original Brazilian TV show, so if you hate subtitles this is not for you. The world is divided between devastation and progress. Only 3% of the people who try to get to the progress side make it. Some people will do just about anything to make sure they have a good life.
13 Reasons Why

13 Reasons Why is based on the book and is executively produced by Selena Gomez and her mom. The main girl, Hannah Baker, commits suicide and leaves tapes and notes explaining why she killed herself. The show is very dramatic and is one of Netflix’s Golden Globes nominations. The show was heavily criticized for showing the suicide scene.
Anne With An E

Anne With An E is a Netflix Original based on the novel Anne of Green Gables. The show follows orphaned Anne and her vast imagination. If you love the book, then you need to watch this series.
Riverdale

The first non-Netflix Original on the list. Riverdale is The CW’s latest tween hit and it’s worth binging. The show is based on characters from the Archie comics, but it’s not all fun and games. Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronic Lodge and Jughead Jones are trying to solve the murder of Jason Blossom a fellow classmate. The show is dark, campy and most importantly, fun to watch.

A Mexican Netflix Original that is perfect to binge watch if you’re obsessed with political dramas and action shows. The show follows the First Lady of Mexico after her husband The President dies on the night she is going to leave him for good. She has to clear her name by finding who actually killed her husband.

This Netflix Original is set in the future when Earths population has dwindled down to nothing. They time travel to the 21st century to try and save the future population of the Earth. It’s intense, so clear your schedule to watch it all in one sitting.
The Keepers

A Netflix documentary series that follows the death of a nun in Baltimore, Maryland. It’s made by the same people who made Making A Murderer and Amanda Knox, so it is a no-brainer. The unsolved murder of Sister Kathy is riveting and will have you reeling with questions.
The OA

The OA is a Netflix Original that follows a girl Prairie, who went missing for seven years but is finally returned home. The show goes back and forth from present to the past when she was captured. Oh yeah, she grew up blind, but when she returned home she could see. The events that happened when she was captured is what shapes her future and returns her sight.

This is another true crime docu-series. The series investigates criminal cases of people who were convicted of murder by confession where actually coerced or gave involuntary or false confessions. It takes a look at how law enforcement plays a role in false confessions and the tactics used to gain a confession. It’s an interesting documentary about human behavior.
