After starting 2018 off by being named the first African American to receive the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Drama, Sterling K. Brown continues to wow us all. While the This Is Us star never planned on making history, he did so humbly as he thanked his wife, kids and creator, Dan Fogelman. A product of St. Louis, Missouri, Brown has been featured in TV shows like Army Wives, NCIS, Castle, Criminal Minds and The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, before landing a leading role as Randall on NBC’s This Is Us. Yes, a total hunk and a Stanford student. Much to our disappointment because it means he’s definitely off the market, Brown met his wife in their freshman dorm. They starred in a play together and Brown discovered his two first loves: the theater and Ryan Michelle Bathe. But it wasn’t always red carpets and red roses, Sterling and Ryan’s love endured multiple breakups. Maybe there is hope for you and the one that got away (and simultaneously blocked your number) because there was a three-year period where they didn’t even talk. A ray of hope for the lovely couple came when Ryan moved to Los Angeles and they tried the long-distance thing, which we normally advise against but the couple has been going strong for 10 years with two kids to show for it.
