Jamie-Lynn Sigler was born on May 15, 1981, in Jericho, New York. Her father Steve was the founder of the Men’s Senior Baseball League and is of Sephardic Jewish (by way of Greece) and Romanian Jewish descent. Her mother, Connie is Cuban and was born Catholic but converted to Judaism when she married Sigler’s father. Sigler has a brother, Brian, and Adam, who unfortunately died in 2014. Sigler got her start at singing and acting at the very tender age of seven. As a young girl, she attended a Hebrew school and had a bat mitzvah. She attended Jericho High School as a teen and studied at the Cultural Arts Playhouse in Old Bethpage. Sigler made her stage debut doing New York City regional theater and starred in over two dozen theater productions including Annie, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, The Wiz and The Gypsy.

In 1997 Sigler was cast as Meadow Soprano, the daughter of New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano in HBO’s crime drama series, The Sopranos. The show premiered in 1999 and would quickly become a huge success and the beginning of fame for Sigler. She remained with the series until the finale in 2007.
In between acting on The Sopranos, Sigler expanded her resume by taking on several different roles in movies, theater, and television.
Aside from playing Meadow, Sigler appeared in more than 13 different television series and movies including playing former Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss. In 2001, Sigler tried her hand at music when she released a pop album called Here to Heaven which featured the single “Cry Baby. Sigler collaborated with Romeo Santos for the single “You” and appeared in the music video as well.
In 2002 Sigler expanded her resume yet again when she co-authored an autobiography titled Wise Girl: What I Learned About Life, Love and Loss. Sigler also made her Broadway debut that year when she appeared as Belle in Disney’s Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast.
In 2003 Sigler married her longtime boyfriend and manager Abraxas “A.J.” Discala. Just two years later the couple separated and subsequently divorced.

After The Sopranos ended in 2007, Sigler continued to act in television and films and made appearances in shows such as Entourage, How I Met Your Mother and Ugly Betty.
In 2008, Sigler visited Israel through the Birthright Israel program and said the trip gave her a greater understanding to preserve her Jewish identity. Sigler also dated actor Jerry Ferrara, but the couple split in 2009. Sigler also dated football player Mark Sanchez.
In 2012, Sigler began dating baseball player Cutter Dykstra. The two became engaged in 2013 and announced in February 2013 that they were expecting a baby. Sigler gave birth to their first son, Beau in August of 2013. The couple married in California in 2016. Also that year, Sigler opened up about being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was just 20 years old. In July 2017, Sigler announced that she was expecting her second child.
