Cardi B showed her support for Colin Kaepernick this weekend in a powerful and resolute comment. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper told TMZ in no uncertain terms Saturday night that she doesn’t intend to perform at the Super Bowl until Kaepernick secures a team.
Kaepernick became a divisive national topic in 2016 when he wouldn’t stand for the national anthem before a game, telling the NFL media that “this is bigger than football” and “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.” He later filed a collusion grievance against the NFL for blackballing him “based on partisan political provocation,” Elle reported.
Outside the Maxim Party in Minneapolis last night, TMZ asked Cardi B when she was going to perform at the Super Bowl.
“Not until the NFL rehires Colin Kaepernick,” she shot back as she hurried inside (Minnesota is cold, you guys).

We applaud her for standing with Kaepernick and giving him unwavering support.
