Justin Timberlake performed during the Super Bowl’s halftime last night, but he wasn’t the one who stole the show. During Timberlake’s heavily criticized performance his mic wasn’t working in the beginning, his outfit looked like he got dressed for Coachella in the dark and despite the pre-performance backlash, he still sang with a Prince projection.
He ended his performance dancing in the stands which led to the funniest meme to come out of the Super Bowl, selfie kid.

This poor kid has no idea what to do when JT ambushed him on national television. His immediate reflex was to take a selfie, but he still looked so uncomfortable.
A screengrab of him on his phone has turned into the biggest meme from the Super Bowl.

Selfie kid is 13-year-old Ryan McKenna. According to the Pioneer Press, McKenna is from Massachusetts and was at the Super Bowl with his dad John McKenna.
Even though Ryan looked like he was uninterested he was really just in shock. “It was already crazy to be at the Super Bowl in the first place,” McKenna said. “Then all of a sudden I’m up on the jumbotron and everyone is talking about me. I can’t believe it.”

Even though Ryan wasn’t hating on JT, people used his hilarious reaction to do so. Lots of tweets were sent mocking that selfie kid didn’t know who Timberlake was and that he was watching other and better halftime performances on his phone.
