American Horror Story fans have been desperately waiting for what season eight will have in store for them. Ryan Murphy, the co-creator behind the series, hasn’t confirmed anything, but it’s leaked that the next season will be called Radioactive.
An AHS Twitter fan account leaked the next season’s theme. Allegedly a new trademark was filed for “American Horror Story: Radioactive”. The trademark was filed by Twentieth Century Fox Films, AHS airs on FX.
Murphy talked to Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming AHS season. He was asked about the Radioactive theme and he couldn’t confirm or deny it.
“I heard about that rumor,” he stated. “Well, that’s based on a fact that we’ve cleared a lot of titles for that show. It’s an interesting idea. I can neither confirm nor deny.”
But he could confirm who was coming back for season eight of AHS and Kathy Bates is officially back! Bates couldn’t be a part of season seven, Cult because of a scheduling conflict.
Bates isn’t the only returning cast member. “Kathy and Sarah Paulson have a lot of great stuff to get to do,” says Murphy. “So, with Evan Peters, the three of them are the leads this year.”
The rest of the cast has yet to be confirmed, but don’t worry AHS season eight isn’t set to start filming until the summer. Murphy has said that season eight will be totally unlike the seasons before it and will be set in the future. I’m envisioning a Black Mirror meets The Jetsons turned into AHS.
What do you think the new AHS theme will be?
