Harry Styles and Taylor Swift may have only dated for a brief time back in 2012, but apparently, the couple made a lasting impression on one another. I mean let’s face it when you’re both uber-famous pop singers who wrote some of your biggest hits based on your ex, it’s pretty safe to assume that the relationship was more than just a fling.
Despite having broken up eons ago, during a recent concert, Styles made reference to one of his ex’s songs and fans (and Twitter) totally lost their minds.
Styles is currently on tour, and during his show in Copenhagen on March 18, Styles chose one lucky fan celebrating their birthday to sing to. Well, instead of leading with the traditional happy birthday song, Styles chose to start off by singing one of his ex’s song, “22” after learning the birthday girl was celebrating her 22nd birthday.

Styles then finished off by singing the happy birthday song to the lucky fan. Almost immediately after the Swift reference fans in the crowd and on Twitter were freaking out.

Fans who still ship Swift and Styles as a couple quickly started tweeting that “Haylor” was back on the rise.

This isn’t the first time the two have referred to one another musically. In fact, the former couple has made references and quite a few songs about their relationship in the past.
Back in 2016, Styles tweeted out the lyrics to “22” in celebration of his 22nd birthday.
I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22.

Swift, who is known to write some of her biggest hits revolving around past relationships and exes was said to have based her 1989 hits “Style” and “Out of the Woods” on Styles.

Styles, who has in the past gotten clammy when discussing his relationship with Swift, was said to have based his song “Two Ghosts” on Swift.
We just HAD to ask who 'Two Ghosts' was about *cough* taylorswift *cough* π» π

Styles and Swift may be yesterday’s news but their songs about one another live on forever, and we are so here for that.
