Liking someone who doesn’t like you back isn’t easy. It’s heartbreaking.
Safe to say, most of us have been there. A part of you probably thought that the longer you pursued, they would eventually feel the same way. This doesn’t always happen. The time you have spent chasing somebody who doesn’t appreciate you, you could’ve been looking for somebody who will. Liking someone who won’t like you back can also affect your confidence and happiness. You may begin to wonder if there is something physically wrong with you, and may even start to compare yourself to others.
You do not want this to happen. You deserve to be with someone who truly appreciates you and makes you happy. Keep an eye out for these signs to avoid wasting your time and energy.
1: They Are Never Physical With You

When you have feelings for someone, you often try little ways to get close to them or touch them. Like hugging to say hello, or trying to sit next to them in class. When someone isn’t into you, they will not show these little markers of affection. They won’t be interested in being physical with you in any way, and they’ll probably act a little weird when you show physical interest in them. If they don’t seem to reciprocate your affection, its time to move on.
2: They Never Seem Available

If the person you like never seems to be available when you want to do things with them, this is a sure sign they just don’t like you the way you like them. Someone who is into you would find ways to spend time with you, even if they are busy!
3: They Are Dating Other People

Need I say more? If someone is really into you, they will not be dating other people. If you two felt the same way about each other, they would be leaving space in case you guys became a thing. If they are keeping their options open, cut loose.
4: You’re Always The First Person To Call Or Text

If you find yourself always calling, texting or general communicating, they just aren’t that into you. Someone who likes you will always strike up a conversation with you, even if it’s just to say ‘hi.’ Move on, because you probably won’t be getting with them anytime soon.
5: They Treat You Like Everyone Else

If your crush treats you the same way as they treat their friends, this can be a sign that they don’t feel the same as you do. Someone who likes you a lot will make sure they interact with you differently than everyone else. If you don’t feel special to them, chances are you’re not.
Of course, it is heartbreaking to realize someone doesn’t feel the same way about you, but it’s also good for you because, in the long run, you’ll be happy you figured it out sooner rather than later.
