Sunshine was born in Atlanta but grew up in Orange County, California. Her passion for performing began at an early age as she balanced studying ballet with roles in plays and dance competitions. Her professional career started when she landed a few commercials for Yoplait and a cereal brand.
2010 – 2013
At 14, Sunshine began building her repertoire with roles on Team Spitz and Marmaduke. The same year, her breakthrough came in the form of Shake It Up. Cast as an exchange student, Sunshine’s character was believed to be inspired after Sharpay of the High School Musical series.
After Shake It Up ended in 2013, so did Sunshine’s time on Disney.
