Our favorite fist-pumping guidos and guidettes are coming back to our screens in less than a week. The Jersey Shore cast is returning to MTV for Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Everyone from the old cast, including Angelina, is making an appearance except for Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola.
Jersey Shore wouldn’t have been the same without Sammi. For starters the letter! The letter changed the entire show! Her endless fights with RAHNNIE affected the whole house and made the show. They always say to not fall in love at the Shore, but that’s exactly what these lovebirds did.
Everyone has been wondering why Sammi decided to pass on the JShore reunion show. Many assuming it’s because of her ex-boyfriend Ronnie Magro. It makes sense, who wants to live in a house with your ex?
Sammi finally cleared the air about why she chose not to do the show. Naturally, she has lots to say. She posted a lengthy Instagram story screenshot on her page that reads:
“I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship. I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations. However, it was difficult decision as I love my roomies, I’ve decided to focus on me, my future and what truly makes me happy. I will forever be grateful to Jersey Shore and everything it has brought to me! I’ve just decided to live my life for me these days. Also I am forever grateful & thankful for all of you!!! Special shout out to my fans, but I’m not going anywhere! Follow me and stay tuned you never know what I could be up to next!”
Sammi is currently dating Christian Biscardi, who I’m assuming is Italian based on the Italian flag he Instagrammed on St. Patrick’s Day. He’s definitely a juice head, somethings never change.

The difference between this new Jersey Shore is that the original roomies aren’t going to the house alone, their significant others are tagging along. Some cast members’ SO decided not to go, like Snooki’s husband won’t be there.
So not only will Ronnie be on the show, but his pregnant girlfriend Jen Harley. That’s a lot to take in and who knows what sort of terms Ronnie and Sammi are on. Even though I would revel in the drama of Sammi confronting Ronnie and his preggo GF, I totally understand why she wouldn’t want to subject herself to that “toxic situations”.

It’s sad that Sammi won’t be joining the cast, but there’s always hope for season two! Jersey Shore Family Vacation already got renewed for a second season and Sammi does allude that she chose not be on THIS season, thus keeping the door open for future seasons. Fingers crossed!
