Carrie Underwood shared a photo of herself rehearsing for her comeback performance at the ACM Awards after a freak accident caused her to not only break her wrist but receive over 40 stitches to her face in November of 2017.
The “Cry Pretty” singer posted the photo to Instagram on Friday, April 13.
She captioned the pic, “Getting ready for the weekend…#CryPretty #ACMawards @CALIAbyCarrie.”
Calia by Carrie is her workout line of clothing.
This photo was one of the few the country superstar has shared of her full face since she was injured.
Shortly after her accident, Carrie shared with her fans in an official fan club message that she “might look a bit different.”
She said at the time, “I’m still healing and not quite looking the same.
“I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse.”
In April, she shared another message to her fan club members which stated, “I’m doing pretty darn good these days!
“My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90 percent there … and the docs say that last 10 percent will come in time.
“And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well. I definitely feel more like myself than I have in a while,” she concluded.
The 53rd annual Academy of Country Music Awards air on CBS Sunday, April 15, at 8 p.m. EST.
