Jenni “JWoww” Farley opened up in a very real way to castmate Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino on Jersey Shore Family Vacation about a series of tragedies which clouded her time during the filming of the MTV series.
In a heartbreaking conversation, Jenni remarked to Mike that she was in “no shape” to have her life filmed during Season 4 of Jersey Shore.
Fans recall that particular season showed the roommates in Italy.
It originally aired throughout the summer and fall of 2011.
“Three to four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed and me and Roger [Mathews] actually lost a baby … not a lot of people know,” she said.
Jenni then told Mike that because of all the stress she was under, her doctor prescribed medication to help her cope.
“They put me on medication because of it because I couldn’t handle life,” Jenni said.
“The medication – it was like Xanax, it would take me down. The downers would make me so groggy, then I would start taking uppers. I segued right into Italy.”
“I was a f**king mess.”
Jenni and Roger would later marry and become parents to Meilani and Greyson.
Jersey Shore Family Vacation delves into the dynamic of what happens when you put a group of people together and force them to live and work with one another.
There’s still plenty of drinking, partying and arguing taking place, but fans are getting to see a new side to the roommates, a more adult side.
Recent episodes of the reboot series are depicting an older and perhaps wiser group of friends that consist of Jenni, Mike, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny Guadagnino.
Many of the clan are now parents, married or in serious relationships.
Still, they manage to get themselves into new types of trouble, which will be played out as the season progresses.
Jersey Shore Family Vacation has already been renewed for Season 2.
The series airs new episodes Thursdays on MTV.
