Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart are our favorite modern-day crime-solving duo Betty and Jughead on Riverdale. The couple appropriately deemed “Bughead” actively solve Riverdale’s mysteries and crime, one episode at a time. And while fans can’t get enough of Sprouse and Reinhart’s chemistry on screen, it didn’t take long before 25-year-old Sprouse, and his 21-year-old co-star was plagued with questions as to whether the pair was carrying their romance off of the set.
Well after months of dodging and denying the couple not only revealed that they were happily dating but as of late they have been spotted vacationing together and basking in relationship bliss. From “Bughead” to bae-cations, let’s take a look at how their relationship developed.

Sprouse may have a thriving acting career, but in his free time, he also likes to dapple in photography (including taking pictures of his famous friends like supermodel Kendall Jenner). Back in October of 2016, three months before Riverdale premiered, Sprouse posted this picture to his Instagram of his soon to be co-star. At the time, fans took note of Sprouse’s photog skills and thought nothing of a potential romance between the two.

You would think that the couple woulda kept up the charade at last summer’s ComicCon, but several outlets reported that the two were spotted making out and were all over one another. Despite the rumors, not one photo of the pair’s PDA was captured except for this photo of the two who couldn’t keep their hands off one another while doing press with the rest of the Riverdale cast.

Back in September Sprouse spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the “idea” of the couple being together in real life and not just for show. “Since the show began, people have wanted Lili and I to be together,” Sprouse told the mag. “People have wanted Lili and Camila to be together. People have wanted KJ and I to be together. People have wanted every actor on this show to be in a union that they could make real. Truthfully, it’s very pleasing that people talk about Lili and I in that way because it means that we’re resonating so strongly that people really want that to be true,” Sprouse added.

While at this year’s Paley Fest 2018 to promote their upcoming season two musical episode, one fan decided to test the waters in hopes of getting a confirmation of the pair’s relationship.
“Cole and Lili, there’s been a lot of rumors that you guys are dating. Are you dating?” the fan asked.
“No comment,” Sprouse responded which pretty much confirmed it for Bughead fans everywhere.

The proof is in the smooch and fans finally got the confirmation that they needed when they were photographed smooching in the City of Love, Paris earlier in the month. When they arrived back from Paris a pap asked them if they were together. Reinhart said, “It’s an obvious answer.”
A week later, while the entire world was partying it up at Coachella, Reinhart and Sprouse took their second bae-cation (that we know of) of this year and went to Mexico.
