It’s been a busy day for the royal family. Kate Middleton was admitted to the hospital Monday morning, giving birth to a son hours later. After a visit from his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate and Prince William’s third child made his debut to the world and headed home to Kensington Palace. Even Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had an outing!
But after all that, we still don’t have a name for the new prince.
According to the BBC, the bets are in: Arthur, Albert, and Philip are the top predictions for the royal’s moniker.
Here’s the breakdown on the top choices.
Albert
After Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband.
Arthur
Both William and Charles have Arthur in their full names.
Philip
Simple: it’s the baby’s grandfather, William and Harry’s dad.

Also in the running are Frederick and James.
Had Kate given birth to a daughter, the favorites were Alexandra, Alice, Diana, Elizabeth, Frances, Mary, and Victoria.
Even in 2018, the royals typically stay very traditional with their name choices. George’s full name is George Alexander Louis, while Charlotte’s full name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, after the Queen and William’s late mother, Princess Diana.
