Former Dancing with the Stars pro-Cheryl Burke just put a ring on it with longtime love, actor Matthew Lawrence, sealing the deal with a gorgeous bauble that has sentimental meaning to the couple.
She took to her official Instagram and posted a series of pics of the couple where she showed off her impressive new piece of jewelry.
The happy event took place on Thursday, May 3.
Cheryl shared the news with a series of stunning photos of her glittering diamond ring at the Montage in Laguna Beach, CA.
The proposal came on the professional dancer’s 34th birthday.
“OMG! So far so good for 34! #amilliontimesyes #imengaged#herecomesthebride,” she stated in the caption.
Matthew Lawrence is best known to fans for his roles in the television series’ Boy Meets World and Brotherly Love, and in the Robin Williams classic film, Mrs. Doubtfire.
The couple was set up by actor Joey Lawrence, Matthew’s brother, back in 2006 after Joey appeared as a contestant on Season 3 of DWTS.
They first started dating in February 2007 and were together for one year before ending their relationship in February 2008.
People Magazine reported that the ring has a special meaning to the couple.
“It’s the same diamond that Cheryl’s late father, Steve Burke, gave to her mother,” Cheryl’s rep stated to the publication.
“Matthew, with the help of his mother Donna, Cheryl’s mother Sherri and XIV Karats had the stone reset and added more diamonds to create the ring he proposed to Cheryl with.”
Congratulations to the happy couple.
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays on ABC.
