Kensington Palace just released an adorable set of photos of royal siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis following the birth of the adorable little boy on April 23. What’s the big secret surrounding the pics?
The gorgeous set of two photos caused a firestorm on social media when they were officially released to the public on May 5, with fans of the royal family thrilled by the intimate look at the siblings.
The children were photographed at home by none other than their mother, Duchess Kate Middleton.
The Duchess is an accomplished photographer and she has shot the first photos of all three of the children she shares with Prince William after their birth.
The adorable photo of Charlotte and Louis was taken on May 2, which was also Charlotte’s birthday.
In the sweet pic, Charlotte cradled Louis in her lap and placed a sweet kiss on her baby brother’s head.
The solo photo of Louis was taken on April 26, just three days after his birth.
Both photos were taken by Kate at the family’s home at Kensington Palace.
“Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank members of the public for all of the kind messages they have received following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday,” Kensington Palace announced on Instagram.
Kate studied art history at the University of St. Andrews, where she met her future husband, Prince William.
She regularly shares photos she’s taken of her children.
Kate is normally the one who captures her family’s special memories for posterity.
Louis’ next public appearance will likely be at his upcoming christening, which is rumored to take place in July.
