Dawson plays Jane Ramos, a straight-shooting, tough lawyer who ends up in a relationship with one of the female characters. Although, that’s the only straight about her character. She gets ends up in a relationship with Petra, one of the main characters on the show. This is important because it represents not only for the LGBTQIA community, but Dawson’s character is representing the Queer Women of Color and it is also an interracial couple as well.
