Everyone grows up with different lifestyles and different means. Nicolette Gray went on Dr. Phil to talk about how her mom, Nina isn’t giving her a sufficient allowance. Her mom slashed her monthly allowance from $5,000 to a mere $1,000. Nicolette is so distraught over her lowered allowance she needs Dr. Phil to reason with her mom to give her more money. Nicolette described her lowered allowance as child abuse. The tables flipped on Nicolette when Dr. Phil never sided with her.
Nicolette is a self-described “Beverly Hills brat” and proved so when she declared she needs a $231,000 G Wagon for her 16th birthday. Throughout the entire show, Nicolette kept declaring she needs certain things as opposed to just wanting things. “$1,000 a month, I’m barely living!” she exclaimed. Nicolette says she needs at least $2,500 a month to survive.

Nina admitted to spoiling her daughter and asked Dr. Phil for help. The two talked about how Nicolette became this way. Nina admitted she felt guilty for being a single mom and working six days a week, Nina is a doctor. She said that she feels bad for punishing her daughter so she lets her run wild and swipe those credit cards freely.
Nicolette blamed her mom for her bratty behavior and spending habits. “You should have raised me better,” Nicollette said to her mom. She also claimed her mom never loved her growing up and would instead just give her money and buy her things. She claimed she never felt love after her parents’ divorce and was used as a toy for her parents to play with.

Her chauffeur, Joel even went on the show and admitted that Nicolette doesn’t have any friends because of how she treats people. When Dr. Phil asked Nicolette if she’d rather have more money or more love from her mom, Nicolette responded with tears in her eyes, “I want both.”
Dr. Phil suggested that Nina has to re-parent Nicolette and give her more love and less money. When he told Nicolette that she needs to get a job she broke down in tears. “Minimum wage isn’t going to get me my car,” she said referencing the G Wagon she wants. Dr. Phil sent Nicolette to a homeless shelter to volunteer. She helped serve dinner to the homeless and experienced huge culture shock. Despite crying on the show about working Nicolette didn’t whine at all while volunteering.

Nicolette refuses to start new and accept a lowered allowance, get a job and help out around the house. She kept claiming she’s accustomed to a certain lifestyle and can’t go back. Her Instagram is littered with designer purses, luxury cars and private planes. There’s a video of her yelling at the camera out her car window to stop being poor, similar to Lil Tay’s viral videos.
