The Big Mistake Found In Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Wedding Program

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s May 19 wedding has been meticulously planned for months, but just like any wedding, there’s always one mistake that falls through the cracks.

Kensington Palace released the Order of Service Friday evening to royal watches on their official twitter, with the following statement.

“Like any couple getting married, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle have taken a great deal of care in selecting all elements for their service,” Kensington Palace said in a statement.

“This has been a collaborative effort led by Prince Harry and Ms. Markle.”

Here’s what you need to know, including that one big error.

The palace released the Order of Service for Harry and Meghan’s wedding the evening before they officially tied the knot. But the most noticeable error of all?

It is still written that Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father, would be the person who would walk his daughter down the aisle to meet her prince.

“The Order of Service was produced before it became clear that Mr. Thomas Markle would be unable to attend the wedding on medical advice,” the palace said in a statement.

“As a result, some aspects will be different to what has been printed. As previously announced, Ms. Markle has asked The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of The Quire.”

The palace confirmed on Friday that Prince Charles will be walking Meghan down the second portion of the aisle of St. George’s Chapel.

During the ceremony, Harry and Meghan will also exchange rings.

At the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, only Kate received a ring. William chose not to wear a wedding ring.

After the couple ties the knot, they will walk out to greet the crowds to Etta James’s “Amen/This Little Light of Mine.”

In a nod to his mother, the late Princess Diana, her sister, Lady Jane will be doing a reading.
