It feels like every day someone is creating a new national or international holiday to dedicate to a food or animal, and I was getting pretty tired of it. But that all changed when I found out that May 23 is World Turtle Day. Turtles are majestic, silly, and loveable, but have not been given proper praise. Sadly, almost every species of sea turtles are endangered, but we can personally keep these little guys stick around by using less plastic and fighting to reverse climate change.
