Both Season 12 and 13 winners of The Bachelorette received first-impression roses on night one. If this pattern continues, then the Season 14 winner will be Garrett Yrigoyen. He was charming, funny (he showed up in a minivan!), and smooth, and Becca admitted she was “smitten” with him. However, if the two end up together there is the potential for ideological problems.
Becca is an outspoken liberal feminist, and proud of it; she supported Obama in 2012 and Clinton in 2016. After returning to social media once filming for The Bachelorette was over, her second act on Twitter was retweeting Joe Biden.

While filming The Bachelorette, both the contestants and Becca don’t have access to their phones/social media. So unless Becca and Garrett spent their time in the Fantasy Suite discussing politics, it is likely that Becca learned about his views when the rest of us did.
