Becky McCabe and Jessa Gillaspie know each so well that the two accidentally proposed to each other at the same time. The two were both secretly planning to propose to one another while at the Memphis Zoo, where they had their first date. Their friends and family were there ready to capture the moment and it’s magical.
Whoever was filming the proposal disguised the filming by pretending to take a photo of the couple. Then after the photos where taken, McCabe starts saying something to Gillaspie and then McCabe drops down on one knee and whips out a ring. Gillaspie is freaking out and crying, but instead of saying yes she starts rummaging through her bag. You can hear one of their friends in the background ask, “What are you doing?”
But then Gillaspie pulls out her own ring box. Then it dawns on the newly engaged couple that they were both planning on proposing to each other. Their friend thankfully captured everything on camera.
Gillaspie shared the video on Facebook and it blew up. It has over 893,000 views, over 12,000 shares and over 16,000 likes. They posted the video on YouTube so it’ll be easier to share (thank you) and it already has almost 23,000 views.
