Memorial day has passed, the weather is warming up, but it isn’t officially summer until Starbucks announces its summer menu. For Summer 2017 Starbucks added the Pink Drink to its menu and millennials went crazy. And this year Starbucks has created six new summer-themed items to give the Pink Drink a run for its money.
Serious Strawberry Frappuccino.
The first and probably most popular release is the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino, which joins the Ultra Caramel and Triple Mocha Frappuccinos as another amped-up version of a classic Starbucks frappe. With strawberry puree on the bottom then strawberry cream frappuccino topped with more strawberry puree and vanilla whipped cream, this light frappuccino is sure to be a summer favorite.
Summer Berry Swirl Croissant
Following the berry theme, this swirl-shaped croissant is filled with strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry and is sure to make for a wonderful Instagram.
Frosted Donut Cakepop
Even though it looks like a donut, the inside is actually a plain vanilla cake. But the outside is adorable and cakepops are a great afternoon pick-me-up treat.
Confetti Sugar Cookie
Sugar cookie meets white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles. Although not specifically released in honor of Pride, eating a rainbow cookie to celebrate LGBTQ rights seems fitting.
Kitchen Sink Cookie
Starbucks introduced another summer cookie, this one a little heavier than the Confetti Sugar Cookie. It includes pecans, pretzels, marshmallows, and chocolate chunks. So it really is “everything but the kitchen sink.”
Chicken Chorizo and Tortilla Sous Vide Egg Bites
Starbucks made their own healthy version of a breakfast burrito. It also includes chipotle salsa and corn tortilla strips.
The new menu looks promising, but Starbucks could always stand to add more frappuccino flavors.
